Easy Cocoa Crunch Cookies
If you love that delicious flavor and texture of a Nestleβs Crunch bar, youβre sure to enjoy these easy Cocoa Crunch Cookies. Theyβre delicious and simple. Best of all, they start with a box of cake mix!

Cake Mix Cookies are Fun
Iβve been making them for sum time! But I donβt often stuff them with unusual ingredients, like breakfast cereal.
I canβt tell you where the idea for this one came from, honestly. I just happened to have a huge box of Rice Krispie treats left over after making treats for an inner city outreach. I wanted to use them up and decided theyβd taste great in chocolate.
My step-mom bought a ton of baking supplies as my Christmas gift and I happened to have fudge cake on hand. So, I decided to merge the two and make cookies.
They turned out great, yβall. Iβll tell you more about that later. For now, hereβs what youβll need to make them.
Cocoa Crunch Cookie Ingredients

You will find a full printable recipe card at the bottom of this post but hereβs a quick peek at what youβll need to make these.
- 1 box fudge cake
- 2 eggs
- 1 stick lightly melted butter
- 2 cup Rice Krispies
How to Make Cocoa Crunch Cookies
These are so simple and come together in minutes. Here's how you're going to make them.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place parchment paper on two cookie sheets.
Place cake mix, eggs, and melted butter into a large bowl or the box of a stand mixer with paddle attachment.

Mix well.

Add the cereal.
Lightly fold in, being careful not to break it too much.

Use a cookie scoop to make balls of dough.
Place on parchment lined baking sheet.

Press down lightly with your palm.

Place in preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 11 minutes or until set.

Remove and place on wire rack to cool.
Serve and enjoy!

Cookies will stay fresh in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-4 days. I donβt recommend freezing these because the cereal will break down as they warm back up to room temperature.
What to Expect from these Cookies

Oh my goodness, yβall! Where have these been all my life? Theyβre so easy to make but absolutely packed full of flavor and texture. Iβve been making a lot of cake mix cookies but adding cereal was really the perfect idea. It reminded me a little of my ranger cookies, but with the chocolate component. Youβll love the ease of this rich, delicious cocoa cookie with that delicious cereal youβve grown to love!
