The Perfect Fudge for Every Celebration
If you’re looking for a bright, cheerful dessert that practically screams celebration, this Birthday Cake Fudge is it!

Also known as Funfetti Fudge or Cake Batter Fudge, this creamy white chocolate fudge is loaded with colorful sprinkles and sweet vanilla cake flavor in every bite.
Best of all, it's one of the simplest fudge recipes you'll find and comes together in minutes.
The Story Behind This Luscious Fudge Recipe
I recently made this recipe for a very special occasion—our school’s graduation celebration.
After spending the year teaching baking classes to students in an “Around the World” baking series, our final stop was America. And what better way to celebrate than with an over-the-top dessert table filled with sweet treats for graduation night?
Alongside cake balls, brownies, bars, rice krispy treats, and cheesecake bites, I wanted a second fudge option to pair with my richer Hot Cocoa Fudge. Since not everyone loves dark chocolate, this lighter, vanilla-forward fudge offered the perfect contrast.
Best of all? The kids in my baking class got to help make it—and yes, they each got a nibble.

Ingredients

You will find a full printable recipe card at the bottom of this post but here's a quick peek at what you'll need to make this recipe. It comes together so easily!
- 2 cans (14 ounces each) sweetened condensed milk
- 22 ounces white chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups white cake mix, heat treated
- ¾ cup sprinkles, plus more for topping
Heat Treating the Cake Mix
Because raw flour can contain bacteria, I always recommend heat treating cake mix before adding it to no-bake desserts.

Spread the cake mix on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes, stirring as necessary to keep from browning. Allow to cool completely before using.
How to Make Birthday Cake Fudge
Prepare Your Pan: Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil and lightly spray with nonstick spray.
Melt the Base: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk and white chocolate chips.

Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring well after each, until smooth and fully melted.
Add Cake Mix: Stir in the cooled cake mix until fully incorporated. The mixture will be thick—keep stirring until smooth.

Fold in Sprinkles: Gently fold in the sprinkles.

Spread and Decorate: Transfer mixture to prepared pan and smooth evenly.

Top with additional sprinkles.

Chill: Refrigerate for 3–4 hours, or until firm. Lift parchment paper to get the fudge out of the pan.

Slice into small squares and serve.

Tips for Perfect Funfetti Fudge
Don’t Overheat the White Chocolate
- White chocolate can seize quickly. Microwave slowly and stir often.
Use Jimmies, Not Nonpareils
- Jimmies hold their color better and won’t bleed into the fudge as much.
Cut Small Pieces
- This fudge is rich! Small squares go a long way on a dessert tray.

This fudge is:
- Bright and festive for birthdays, graduations, and holidays

Flavor Variations
Graduation Fudge: Match the sprinkle colors to school colors for graduation parties.
